WHO IS PEPPER QUEEN?

Meet Pepper Queen, aka Rebecca Ramirez. A born and raised San Diego native with Mexican roots and a vibrant creative history of her own, Rebecca integrates her cool, coastal Californian lifestyle with her vibrant and warm Mexican heritage, creating Pepper Queen Farms.  Pepper Queen proudly reimagines modern takes on classic Mexican and other national traditional flavors and recipes from around the world, locally sourcing and growing her own ingredients with love on her organic farm in the hills of San Diego, California.

Far outside of the typical hot sauce entrepreneur, Rebecca is also a classically trained musician and music teacher, with perfect pitch and over 30 years experience in music education. The owner/director of Succeed Music Academy, Rebecca found herself in need of a pivot when everything shifted around the world a few years ago. With classes being put to the side, she realized she could turn to her other passions of cooking and gardening to fuel her creativity and livelihood, and so, Pepper Queen Farms came to be.  A happy accident of inspiration and necessity, Rebecca makes the same bold use of her improvisational musical skills while playing with flavors, delightedly merging her two passions in life. “I create the flavors through the same sensation that I create music… I can visualize the flavors the same way I can see sound.”
